Are charities eligible for Sponsor Licence?
In short, yes! Charities and Social Enterprises are eligible to
apply for Sponsor Licences. They can choose to apply for a
Temporary Worker Sponsor Licence, which once received,
enables them to employ eligible individuals as Charity Workers
for a period of up to 12 months, however, please note that this
does not provide a route to settlement in the UK.
The Charity Worker route is available for voluntary worker aged
18 or over who intend to undertake charitable work in the UK for
a recognised charitable organisation. The eligible individual must directly contribute to advancement of the charitable purpose of
the charity which sponsors the individual.
